Sports Carnival
6A, you 'rawk' (is that the way you spell it?)! To me, you are joint champions with 6B as the score was a tie. I think you were awesome... for you ran and cheered with all your might. There are lots of things we can celebrate... we came in first, second and third in the 4x50m race! Wei Xin, Vanessa and Dzaki did a great job leading the cheers! Our banners were the most 'cool'! And there was a sense of unity in our class!
Well done, 6A... you are MY champions!

Did you enjoy the English Quiz held during our assembly period? How many of the idiom puzzles could you solve? Do you know the meaning of the idioms?

Situational Writing - Persuasive Writing
Today, you learnt to write a formal letter to promote a book drive. Most of you were able to apply what you learnt in your writing:
1) Using a power statement or question in the first paragraph
2) Using active words to describe a situation
3) Making your letter personal
4) Closing politely
5) Adding a post script (P.S.)
Look at Khee Han's example below.

Top Scorers in S.A.1
You did well in the English S.A.1. Most of you have shown an improvement in Paper 2, compared to that in C.A.1. Even your wrong answers make some sense and I can see you have put in thought before you answered the questions. As for your composition, you did a great job. Most of you were able to adapt what you have learnt in class this year to the topic for the S.A.1. I am happy with you :)
Top in English (overall)

Top in Composition
Chia Zhi Yi and Odelia Chung
Top in L.C.
