Use the past tense to describe what happened

In your group work today, you were on task and cooperative. You carried out your discussion quietly and were considerate to the other groups. I am happy with all of you and am also impressed with your reports.

Outstanding All Rounder Student Awards

Mavis Mah and Chia Zhi Yi have won the Outstanding All Rounder Student Awards. They will each receive a $50 book voucher and a certificate at an award ceremony in May. Our vice-head prefect, Kai Wen (5A), won the OARS Award at the CDC level.

The Outstanding All-Rounder Student (OARS) Awards is an annual event which aims to recognise students with the innate ability to be all-rounders and to stimulate the potential of students to be all-rounders. The award aims to recognise potential of students who are not only academically outstanding but also inclined towards community service, leadership, the aesthetics and friendship.
