Writing a Report

Today, you learnt how to write a report about an incident. This is a quick summary of what to include in a report.

  • Greeting (audience you're addressing)

  • Brief introduction (who, what, when, where?)

  • Give details

  • Your signature and name

  • Remember:

  • Provide factual information, not opinions

  • Use the past tense to describe what happened

  • In your group work today, you were on task and cooperative. You carried out your discussion quietly and were considerate to the other groups. I am happy with all of you and am also impressed with your reports.

When writing situational writing, we need to note that all the six points are there

These are wonderfully written writings, I just hope all of us will be careful and not run when the floor is wet, so that the incident that happened to Kate will not happen again. ;]
